Jamshedpur, Jan 23: Electricity department has begun advance preparations to repair dysfunctional transformers across the district ahead of the summer season. It has also started replacing dilapidated electric cables to prevent power disruptions.
According to sources, big transformers are being installed across the city on the basis of load estimation of last year. During summer season, the load increases and the transformers trip. Keeping this in view, the transformers are being changed. Cables are also being replaced with new ones, sources said.
