Jamshedpur, Oct 20: Dumni Hansda, an elderly woman, was fatally struck by a motorcycle near Maramburu Studios, close to Neeldungri village in Sundarnagar. The incident unfolded as she was returning home from Haldipokhar when a speeding motorcycle, ridden by two intoxicated youths, collided with her. The impact caused her to fall onto the road, resulting in severe head injuries and a broken arm. She was rushed to Sadar Hospital but was pronounced dead upon arrival. Local residents managed to apprehend the two youths involved and handed them over to the Sundarnagar police, who took them into custody and seized their motorcycle. Following the incident, a review of the woman’s death was conducted at the hospital, and her body was sent for post-mortem examination.
