Jamshedpur Eid-ul-Adha: 33 Zonal Magistrates, 36 Zonal Police Officers deployed for

Jamshedpur, June 27: In a bid to ensure law and order during the upcoming Eid ul Adha festival, the local administration convened a crucial meeting today with the Centre Peace Committee. The meeting aimed to discuss strategies and reinforce cooperation between various stakeholders to maintain a peaceful environment during this important religious celebration.

The District Peace Committee meeting was held in the presence of Deputy Development Commissioner Manish Kumar, City SP  K. Vijay Shankar, Rural SP  Mukesh Lunayat, SDM Dhalbhum  Piyush Sinha at Sidhgora Town Hall regarding the peaceful organisation of Bakrid festival 2023.

On the occasion, JNAC  Sanjay Kumar, SDO Ghatshila  Satyaveer Rajak, Executive Officer Mango Municipal Corporation  Suresh Yadav and all BDOs, COs, DSPs and station in-charges were present.

During this, suggestions were taken from the Peace Committee members present for the peaceful organization of the festival and their problems were also heard. In the meeting, senior officials of the district clearly said that all precautionary measures have been taken by the administration for better maintenance of law and order, strict vigil will be kept on anti-social elements. All BDOs, COs, DSPs and station in-charges were instructed to remain on 24×7 alert mode, the feedback of the peace committee meeting held in the same police stations was also discussed. The members of the peace committee were informed that while ensuring compliance on the issues raised in the respective Police Station Peace Committee meetings, an adequate number of magistrates, police officers and police force will be deputed at sensitive places, as well as on cleanliness and other points. Compliance is also being ensured.

In the joint order issued by the Deputy Commissioner and the Senior Superintendent of Police regarding the peaceful organization of Bakrid festival, 13 Super Zonal Magistrates, 10 Super Zonal Police Officers, 33 Zonal Magistrates and 36 Zonal Police Officers have been deputed for the maintenance of law and order. Administrative and police officials have been directed to regularly inspect sensitive areas and ensure strict action against anti-social elements.

With Eid ul Adha being a significant occasion for Muslims, large gatherings are expected at prayer grounds, mosques, and other communal areas. Therefore, ensuring the safety and well-being of the residents remains a top priority for the local administration. By engaging with the Centre Peace Committee, the administration aims to leverage their influence in promoting peace and resolving any conflicts that may arise.

During the meeting, several key issues were addressed, including crowd management, traffic control, and preventive measures against any untoward incidents. Law enforcement agencies shared their operational plans and emphasized the need for strict vigilance to maintain law and order. They also assured the committee and the public of their commitment to providing a safe environment for residents and visitors alike.

The administrative authority emphasized the significance of maintaining an open line of communication between all stakeholders to promptly address any emerging issues. They stressed the importance of reporting any suspicious activities or potential threats to the relevant authorities to ensure a swift response.
