Jamshedpur: The East Singhbhum District Congress Committee hosted a grand inauguration ceremony for the renovated District Congress Headquarters, Tilak Pustakalay, under the leadership of District President Anand Bihari Dubey. The ceremony was graced by the presence of prominent leaders including Keshav Mahato Kamlesh, State Congress Committee President; Banna Gupta, former Minister of Jharkhand; Dr. Pradeep Kumar Balmuchu, former Rajya Sabha MP; and other esteemed dignitaries, who collectively unveiled the stone plaque and cut the ribbon, following traditional rituals and the chanting of mantras.

In his address, State President Keshav Mahato Kamlesh congratulated District President Anand Bihari Dubey and the team for their efforts in constructing the new building. “This newly constructed building will certainly fortify the Congress organization. It will serve as a space for quality guidance for party workers, thereby strengthening efforts in the interest of the country, state and the people,” he stated.

Banna Gupta, former minister of the Jharkhand government, expressed his gratitude for being a part of the occasion, recalling that the original building, constructed in 1923 by freedom fighters, had deteriorated over time. “Today, this new building stands as a testament to our shared history and it will become a centre for Congress workers to learn the principles of our 140-year-old party,” he remarked.

Dr. Pradeep Kumar Balmuchu, former Rajya Sabha MP, emphasized the importance of using the new building for strengthening organizational work and public welfare initiatives. “This will benefit the Congress Party and the people of our region,” he said.

District President Anand Bihari Dubey welcomed the dignitaries, presenting them with garlands and clothing as a token of appreciation. The guests also lit a lamp, symbolizing the commencement of a new chapter for the party. The inauguration ceremony was coordinated by Sanjay Singh Azad, Vice President Brijendra Tiwari, Amit Srivastava and Sunny Singh. The newly inaugurated building is expected to enhance the Congress Party’s presence and activities in the region.
