Jamshedpur, July 29: Members of the East Singhbhum District Chess Association (ESDCA) paid tribute to Bharat Ratna J.R.D. Tata on the occasion of his 120th birth anniversary on July 29.
The event was held at the Chess Centre in the JRD Tata Sports Complex, Jamshedpur.
The celebration was marked by a cake-cutting ceremony and was attended by Hassan Imam, Manager, Tata Steel Sports Department, RP Rai, Sub Inspector, Bistupur Police Station.
Also present were East Singhbhum District Chess Association Secretary N.K. Tiwary, along with seasoned arbiter Jayant Kumar Bhuyan, Purabi Ghosh, International Arbiter Chandan Kumar Prasad, Manoj Kumar Pandey, Soukhin Kundu, Binod Kumar Singh, and chess players from the Tata Chess Centre, were also present to honor the legacy of J.R.D. Tata.
