Chaibasa, August 31: in view of the forthcoming Durgotsav, a meeting of the Nav Yuvak Sangh Durga Puja Committee (NYSDPC) of Gutusai, Kalyanpur and Turitola was held under the chairmanship of President Sanjay Kumar Verma. Four proposals were unanimously adopted that included the construction of a pandal in the form of the Gateway of India that was expected to draw in huge crowds of devotees and pandal-hoppers of Chaibasa and rural areas.
The committee was expanded and reconstituted. Dev Kumar Banerjee and Nirmal Kumar Gupta were unanimously elected Patrons. Sanjay Kumar Verma was elected President, Rohan Nishad as Secretary and Jitendra Kumar Yadav as Treasurer.
