Jamshedpur Durga Puja: DC, SSP inspect Puja Pandals, orders safety measures 

Jamshedpur: District Magistrate-cum-Deputy Commissioner, Manjunath Bhajantri, and Senior Superintendent of Police, Kishore Kaushal, conducted a comprehensive inspection of ongoing Durga Puja pandal construction in the urban area. Emphasizing public safety, the officials visited prominent pandals including Gandhi Maidan Mango, Shivshankar Puja Pandal Dimna Road, Kagalnagar Central Puja Pandal, Khutadih Pandal, Tarun Sangh Puja Pandal, Kadma Puja Pandal at Rankini Mandir Chowk, Ganesh Puja Maidan Pandal, Ranikudar Azad Hind Puja Pandal, Circuit House Puja Pandal, and more.

Guidelines were issued to puja committees concerning law and order, security measures, traffic management, and adherence to safety standards within the pandals. The District Magistrate directed strict compliance with guidelines, including the prohibition of plastic and thermocol usage, cessation of loudspeakers after 10 pm, and the provision of designated garbage disposal points. The Fire Department was instructed to submit self-declaration applications for fire safety measures, while the Electricity Department was tasked with ensuring compliance with safety guidelines.

Senior officials, including Deputy Development Commissioner Manish Kumar, Superintendent of Police Rural Rishabh Garg, and Sub-Divisional Officer Dhalbhum Piyush Sinha, actively participated in the inspection. The Senior Superintendent of Police issued directives to ensure proper parking arrangements, prevent illegal collections, and collaborate with local police for volunteer coordination. Enhanced security measures, including patrolling teams and plainclothes police personnel, were announced to guarantee a peaceful Durga Puja celebration for the public.

The District Magistrate cum Deputy Commissioner emphasized the collective responsibility of all departments involved to create a secure and enjoyable environment for the festival. The presence of officials from various departments, including the Electricity Department, Fire Department, and District Public Relations Office, underscored the coordinated efforts to ensure a successful and incident-free Durga Puja celebration.
