Jamshedpur: Deputy Commissioner Ananya Mittal and Senior Superintendent of Police Kishore Kaushal inspected Baroda Ghat to review the preparations for the upcoming Durga Puja idol immersion. Accompanying them were PD ITDA Dipankar Chaudhary, City SP Rishabh Garg, Sub-Divisional Officer Dhalbhum Shatabdi Majumdar, Municipal Body Officers, and representatives from various Puja Committees.
During the inspection, key instructions were provided regarding the repair of access roads leading to the immersion ghat, ensuring adequate electricity supply, installing barricades for the safety of devotees, and maintaining cleanliness. Emphasis was also placed on security measures to maintain law and order during the immersion process.
The Deputy Commissioner urged Puja Committees to ensure timely immersion of idols to avoid any disruption to public order. He assured that robust security arrangements, including drone surveillance and the deployment of divers, would be in place. He also requested the committees to cooperate fully with the administration in ensuring a smooth and successful celebration.
Special attention was drawn to the need for electrification and timely cleaning of the ghats, both critical for ensuring the safety and convenience of devotees. Devotees were advised to avoid slippery areas near the riverbanks and prioritize their personal safety during the immersion.
