Jamshedpur, Dec 5: Anwar Hussain, a resident of Demdubi Ansarnagar in Mango, cut his wrist veins with a blade on Tuesday morning while in an intoxicated state. He was immediately rushed to MGM Hospital where he was undergoing treatment.
Anwar’s brother, Md Ghulam, informed that Anwar had a history of addiction, and when he did not get money for drugs, he resorted to inflicting injury on himself by cutting the veins of his wrists. “A few days ago, he attempted suicide, but at that time, the injuries were not severe. Doctors had advised him to go to a de-addiction center. After two months of treatment at the center, he returned, but with no money for drugs, he again harmed himself by cutting the veins of his wrist.”
