Jamshedpur Dog Show: Beagle ‘Dingo’ wins best in show

Top canine talents shine as Dog Show concludes, winners awarded

Jamshedpur, Jan 12: The much-anticipated 34th and 35th FCI Dog Shows, alongside the 77th and 78th JKC Championship Dog Shows, at the Archery Ground of the J.R.D. Tata Sports Complex concluded on Sunday.

Organized under the Federation Cynologique Internationale (FCI) and The Kennel Club of India, the event, which began on January 9, attracted top-tier canine talent from across the country.

The event showcased outstanding dogs and their impeccable grooming, training, and presentation.

The dog show saw top canine talents compete for prestigious titles, with fierce competition across various categories.

The JKC Dog Show, judged by Denis Kuzelj from Slovenia, showcased exceptional dogs, with Dingo, a Beagle owned by Bapi Saha, taking the coveted Best in Show title.

Dingo’s flawless performance impressed the judges and earned the top honor. Sombor Semper Wictor, a German Shepherd Dog owned by Suchismita Ghosh, secured Second Best in Show, while Simba, a Lhasa Apso owned by Susmita Mitra, claimed Third Best in Show.

Additional awards at the JKC event included Best in Show Bred in India, which went to Dingo, and Reserved Best in Show Bred in India was awarded to Simba.

Harleuin Show Kimchi Spicy For Cadfael’s, an American Cocker Spaniel owned by Pallab Saha, won Best of Puppy in Show, while The Wones Lexy, a Doberman owned by V Vijaya Prabhakaran, took the Reserved Best of Puppy in Show title.

The Best Indian Breed award went to Teena, a Caravan Hound owned by Sukanta Mondal, with Karben’s Sasha, a Pashmi owned by Rudra Nath Dutta, taking Reserved Best Indian Breed.

The FCI Dog Show, judged by Chakappan Chantarasmee from Thailand, also highlighted top-tier dogs from various breeds.

AM.CH.Cambria’s Boy Wonder, a Doberman owned by Abhimanyu Reddy, claimed Best in Show, while Cadfael’s Goddess The Spark Beautiful, an American Cocker Spaniel owned by Pallab Saha, took second place.

Third Best in Show was awarded to Sombor Semper Victor, a German Shepherd Dog with a normal coat, owned by Suchismita Ghosh.

Additional accolades at the FCI event included Best in Show Bred in India, which went to Cadfael’s Goddess The Spark Beautiful, and Reserved Best in Show Bred in India, awarded to CH Banchery’s Rolex, a Dachshund owned by Vijay Prabhakaran.

Best of Puppy in Show was won by Harleuin Show Kimchi Spicy For Cadfael’s, while Alice, a Beagle owned by Bapi Saha and Saikat Bose, earned Reserved Best of Puppy in Show.

Hedua’s Waxy, a Caravan Hound owned by Soma Mitra, was named Best Indian Breed, and Reserved Best Indian Breed went to Bongshi The Flute of Amoos, a Pashmi owned by Priyam Nayak.

The event celebrated the finest dogs, their training and their overall presentation, recognizing their owners and handlers for their hard work and dedication.
