Mail News Service

Jamshedpur, August 3: The President of Bagbera Mahanagar Vikas Samiti (BMVS) and BJP leader, Subodh Jha, has urged the district administration to provide urgent sanitization services including bleaching powder spray and also provide clean drinking water through tankers in rain affected areas in and around Naya Basti in Bagbera. In a press statement issued on Thursday, Subodh Jha mentioned that due to floodwater entering all hand pump bases and bore-wells, the water from these sources had become unfit for consumption.  “Drinking contaminated water can lead to life-threatening diseases. Hence, there is an urgent need for clean drinking water. The Health Department can also provide relief to the residents by conducting free medical camps. Thanks to the commendable efforts of the district administration, local police, and social workers, the water was pumped out on Wednesday evening,” the release added.
