Jamshedpur: Deputy Development Commissioner (DDC) Nagendra Paswan on Monday visited Gwalkata, Sohda and Kalikapur Panchayats of Potka block and took stock of the implementation of various government development schemes.
At Sabar Tola in Gwalkata Panchayat, the DDC inspected housing construction work under the Pradhan Mantri Janman Yojana. He checked the progress and quality of materials being used, interacted with beneficiaries and directed them to complete the houses within the stipulated time frame.
In Sohda Panchayat, Paswan visited Dudhkundi High School and reviewed the newly constructed bicycle stand as well as the under-construction toilets for boys and girls under the Pradhan Mantri Adarsh Gram Yojana.
Later, at Kalikapur Panchayat, he inspected ongoing housing projects under the Abua Housing Scheme. At the Scheduled Tribe Residential High School in Sabarnagar, the DDC inspected the kitchen facilities and instructed school authorities to ensure nutritious meals are served to students as per the weekly menu. He also directed the Potka Medical Officer in Charge (MOIC) over phone to conduct compulsory malaria tests of all enrolled students.
Block Development Officer Arun Munda, along with the Panchayat Secretary, District Housing Coordinator, District Training Coordinator, Block Coordinator, Village Employment Servant and other officials, accompanied the DDC during the inspection.
