Jamshedpur DC reviews welfare department schemes 

Jamshedpur, June 18: A meeting was organized at Collectorate Auditorium, Jamshedpur by East Singhbhum Deputy Commissioner Vijaya Jadhav to review the latest progress of welfare departmental schemes. 

In the course of review of pre-matric scholarship, it was informed by the Project Director, ITDA that in the pre-matric scholarship scheme in the financial year 2021-22, the total possible target in Scheduled Tribe, Scheduled Caste and Backward Caste category is 165667. So far, the list of 146631 students against the students has been uploaded in the e-Kalyan portal. There is an error in the data of 7328 students which is being resolved by the concerned Block Education Extension Officer (BEEO). The data of 3955 students is still not received, for this, the District Deputy Commissioner has directed the concerned BEEO to compulsorily send the data within a week.

In the financial year 2021-22, the online application form of total-20012 students in East Singhbhum district under the post-matric scholarship scheme has been verified by the concerned institute. A total of 20012 students have been verified from the district level and the amount has been paid to 14654 students.

A total of 312 houses have been approved for construction in the financial years 2020-21 and 2021-22 under the Gramothan and Birsa Housing Scheme. All the houses were directed to be completed within two months.

A total of seven plans have been completed in the tribal culture arts center  and construction schemes of Jahersthan approved in the financial years 2020-21 and 2021-22 and a total of 127 plans are in progress. Land report of 65 schemes is not available. It  was directed to implement the schemes immediately after getting it from the concerned circle officer.
