Jamshedpur: DC reviews progress of election special cells

Jamshedpur: East Singhbhum Deputy Commissioner cum Returning Officer Amit Kumar Saturday convened a meeting of various election specific cells to review progress of work assigned to them. He sought a report on the deposition of arms by licence holders ahead of the polls. He said those who have failed to deposit their weapons with the district armoury would have to face licence cancellation proceedings.

Kumar further directed the Deputy Development Commissioner (DDC) cum nodal officer to organize a training programme through booth level officers (BLOs). He said an election Pathshala should be held at every polling booth under SVEEP.

The DC also ordered randomization of polling parties on 12th April and barricading around strong room.

Many district administration officials were present during the workshop.
