Jamshedpur DC reviews government schools

Jamshedpur, Feb 13: East Singhbhum deputy commissioner Suraj Kumar reviewed the mid-day meal scheme, Kasturba Gandhi residential schools and inclusive education (samaghra siksha) at the district collectorate on Saturday. 
It was decided that all schools should ensure enrollment registration of at least 30 per cent students in the DG school app within a week and everyday teachers should be linked with whatsapp group to see the content reaches the students. 
The teachers should ensure that monthly and weekly calendars reaches every student. 
At least 60 per cent students should take part in weekly quiz and ensure that they answer correctly 70percent of the questions. The block education officer of Dhalbhumgarh was asked to improve scenario in Dhalbhumgarh block. The concerned engineers were asked to ensure that electrification in all school is completed within one month. 
It was also decided that dilapidated school buildings should be identified with community participation and such structures should be demolished. Schools were asked to submit proposal for rain water harvesting to the deputy development commissioner and ensure that rain water harvesting structures are installed in school within a month. All the block education officers were directed to submit list of teachers between class one and 12 within 24 hours so that it can be uploaded in the district portal for giving of Covid-19 vaccines.
