Jamshedpur DC resolves public grievances at Janata Darbar

Over 100 applications processed, on-spot solutions provided

Jamshedpur: In a commendable display of public service, District Magistrate cum Deputy Commissioner  Ananya Mittal conducted a successful Janata Darbar at the Collectorate office room, where he personally addressed the grievances of the common people. Over 100 applications were received during the session, and many individuals left with on-the-spot solutions to their problems.

Mittal actively engaged with the public, lending a patient ear to their concerns and assuring appropriate action. The received applications were promptly forwarded to the relevant departmental officers, with directives for a thorough and timely investigation.

A poignant moment during the Janata Darbar involved the District Magistrate’s immediate intervention to address the inconvenience faced by a disabled person from Bagbera. Recognizing the need,  Mittal instructed the Social Welfare Officer to provide a tricycle on the spot, ensuring swift assistance to the individual. Additionally, he inquired about the disabled person’s access to other government welfare schemes and directed the District Social Welfare Officer to ensure their comprehensive inclusion as per the established rules.

Issues raised by other participants covered a spectrum of concerns, including irregular ration distribution, illegal occupation of houses, demarcation disputes, land encroachments, and cases of forced Voluntary Retirement Scheme (VRS) acceptance.  Mittal took immediate action by forwarding the received applications to the concerned officials, providing them with clear instructions. The officials were directed to produce progress reports related to these matters promptly at the district headquarters.

The Janata Darbar conducted by District Magistrate exemplifies a proactive approach to governance, ensuring that the concerns of the common people are heard and addressed promptly.
