Jamshedpur DC pays obeisance to Sun God, thanks one and all for cooperation

Jamshedpur, Oct 31: East Singhbhum Deputy Commissioner Vijaya Jadhav Monday paid obeisance to the rising Sungod at Swarnarekha Ghat on the second day of Chhath festival.

In a tweet, she said she celebrated the festival with the devotees at Mango and prayed for the prosperity and welfare of all people of the district.

The DC thanked all people, especially executive magistrates, security personnel, police officers, law and order officers of district administration, officials of various government departments and paramilitary personnel for their services during the festival. She said the festival could be celebrated peacefully due to the cooperation of one and all.

Earlier, the DC had visited all Chhath ghats of the city and reviewed cleanliness, illumination, traffic, safety and medical arrangements for the devotees. ADM (Law and Order) Nand Kishore Lal was also present during the inspection.
