Jamshedpur, Jan 6: East Singhbhum Deputy Commissioner Ravi Shankar Shukla Monday convened a meeting to review the performance of district welfare department. He directed all block education expansion officers (BEEOs) to ensure maximum admission of Sabar children in class VI, VII and VIII of Eklavya Model Residential School, Ashram Vidyalaya and other residential schools of the district in the academic year 2020-2021.
Shukla said the BEEOs will be ranked on the basis of their performance in ensuring admission of Sabar children. He asked them to submit report regarding filling up of admission forms by February.
Sources said an entrance test will be held on 8th March for admission in residential schools. The last date for receiving the admission forms is 31st January, they said.
The DC said targets had been given to each block for receiving admission forms. He ordered special classes for students preparing for the admission test for supplying water.
