Jamshedpur DC leads anti-encroachment drive at Mango, reviews cleanliness

Jamshedpur, Sep 22: East Singhbhum Deputy Commissioner Vijaya Jadhav led a team of district administration during removal of encroachment from the main road at Mango.

She reached Mango Chowk with a team of Mango Municipal Corporation (MMC) officials and local police and inspected the traffic arrangement.

She ordered removal of vegetable vendors and shops from the main road. She directed the MMC officials to remove illegal hoardings from all places.

Thereafter the DC inspected the main road from Mango Chowk to MMC office near Gandhi Maidan and ordered immediate removal of encroachment.

Several roadside fruit vendors were removed from the roadside and warned against carrying on their business on road.

Fine was imposed on several shop owners for encroaching upon the road. MMC officials also collected fine from people for parking vehicles in no-parking zones.

The DC further went to New Purulia Road and Old Purulia Road and ordered removal of encroachment.

She held a meeting at MMC office and reviewed cleanliness, condition of public toilets and traffic arrangement. She directed the contractor concerned to improve cleaning work. ADM Law and Order and DSP Traffic were also present at the meeting.
