Jamshedpur: With just five days remaining until polling day for the Ghatshila Assembly By-Election 2025, District Election Officer-cum-Deputy Commissioner Karn Satyarthi conducted an inspection of polling stations in the Jadugora area to review preparations and ensure smooth voting arrangements.
During the inspection, the District Election Officer examined the availability and condition of essential facilities such as ramps, drinking water, electricity, toilets, and sheds at polling stations. Satyarthi emphasized that special attention must be given to arrangements for differently-abled and senior citizen voters, ensuring barrier-free access and voter-friendly facilities. He also directed that all departments involved in the election process maintain close coordination and adhere strictly to the Election Commission’s guidelines.
Highlighting the importance of preparedness, he said that every polling station should reflect efficiency, accessibility, and fairness, ensuring that polling on November 11 is conducted peacefully and transparently.
The inspection comes as part of the district administration’s final round of monitoring and review ahead of the by-election, with all officials working to ensure a seamless and secure voting experience for the electorate of the Ghatshila Assembly constituency.
