BDOs, Circle Officers asked to work in time-bound manner to ensure success of schemes and election
Jamshedpur, January 19 : East Singhbhum deputy commissioner Suraj Kumar, held a meeting with BDOs, COs and other senior officers of the district for the rollout of the state government’s ambitious plan in which ration card holders are to be given subsidy in petrol purchase at the rate of Rs 25 per litre till a cap of 10 litres from January 26.
Other points discussed in the meeting was preparation of voter list for the ongoing vaccination program, Covid testing as well as the upcoming three-tier panchayat election.
Regarding the scheme of petrol subsidy, the Deputy Commissioner said that this scheme is to be duly launched by the Chief Minister on January 26, in such a situation, taking action to spread wide publicity to all the eligible beneficiaries, make sure to receive applications from them through mobile app. The Deputy Commissioner said that Dhanbad, Ranchi and East Singhbhum districts have achieved more targets under this scheme as the number of registration of vehicles is more in these districts, so all the Block Development Officers will ensure that they work in a time-bound. The list of eligible beneficiaries should be received by the District Supply Office.
The Deputy Commissioner clearly said that under this scheme, no subsidy will be given to the beneficiaries from the petrol pump, but the amount of subsidy will be transferred to their account through DBT, there will be no need to go to the petrol pump with the ration card.
In order to review the vaccination program conducted in the district, the Deputy Commissioner gave clear instructions that all BDOs should make available the forms related to vaccination of 100 percent beneficiaries with the first dose. Expressing displeasure over the slow progress in the age group of 15-18, Suraj Kumar said that district is lagging behind because of not being able to take forward a good start, the lack of mutual coordination is clearly visible, rectify it soon.
All the concerned officers from block to district level should meet and achieve the target soon. He gave clear instructions to ensure that all government and private schools should be visited at least thrice by January 30. Give notice to the concerned school principal in advance that the children of their school are to be vaccinated on specified date, if the attendance of children in the school is less on that day, then the accountability of the principal will also be fixed. In rural areas, the headmen of the respective panchayats were also directed to take cooperation by linking them with this campaign.
Deputy Commissioner said that at present there is no shortage of RTPCR kits in the district and RTPCR tests should be increased. He said that the spread of Covid is still happening, so in the next 8-10 days, RTPCR test should be done on a large scale. The more tests done, the sooner the spread of infection can be prevented by isolating people.
All the members present in the meeting regarding the three-tier Panchayat (Common) election were informed that a program has been set by the State Election Commission, Jharkhand for the preparation of voter list which are as follows:

In the light of the above, in all the blocks, for the execution of works like fragmentation of voter list, preparation of Aadhar sheet, printing of voter list, draft publication, receiving and execution of claim objections and final publication of voter list etc., the concerned Block Development Officer, Eastern Singhbhum were authorized to execute it.
All the concerned officials were directed to follow the instructions given by the commission in letter and spirit and ensure the preparation of voter list with complete accuracy within the stipulated time period.
