Jamshedpur DC flags off road safety awareness vehicle 

Road Safety Month-2025
Jamshedpur: As part of the ongoing Road Safety Month-2025, Deputy Commissioner of East Singhbhum,  Ananya Mittal, flagged off the Road Safety Awareness Vehicle from the District Collectorate. The initiative aims to educate citizens about traffic rules and promote road safety across the district.
The event was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Bhagirath Prasad, NEP Director Santosh Garg, Ghatsila SDM Sunil Chandra, and DTO Dhananjay. The awareness vehicle will travel to various parts of the district, disseminating crucial information about traffic rules to prevent accidents caused by negligence.
Speaking on the occasion, Mittal emphasized the importance of adhering to traffic regulations to curb road mishaps. “This campaign seeks to instill the significance of road safety among the public and encourage safe driving practices,” he stated.
Activities Planned During the Campaign: Awareness programs in schools, colleges, and public places. Distribution of posters and installation of road safety signboards.  Highlighting the use of helmets for two-wheeler riders. Promoting seat belt use among four-wheeler drivers.Discouraging drunk driving, overspeeding, and underage driving.
The awareness vehicle will cover various areas in the district, spreading messages on safe driving and responsible road behavior. This month-long campaign, running from January 1 to January 31, aims to create a culture of vigilance and responsibility on the roads, ultimately reducing accidents.
