Jamshedpur: Deputy Commissioner Manjunath Bhajantri inaugurated the PM-Janman Yojana campaign chariot from the Collectorate premises, emphasizing the government’s commitment to uplifting special tribal groups through development schemes.
In alignment with government directives, the district administration is dedicated to linking special tribal communities with key development initiatives. The Chief Minister has expressed sensitivity towards the progress of these unique tribal groups.
Present at the flagging-off ceremony were Deputy Development Commissioner Manish Kumar, Director NEP Jyotsna Singh, and Assistant Director Social Security Neha Sanjana Khalkho.
Bhajantri stated that the Chief Minister’s vision is to create awareness among primitive tribal groups about development schemes, ensuring they benefit from these initiatives. The PM Janman Yojana aims to bridge gaps in health, education, and livelihood for Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs). The campaign is committed to providing basic facilities and services to vulnerable tribal communities, families, and settlements, fostering their social, economic, and educational upliftment.
As part of this extensive campaign, a comprehensive survey of PVTG settlements will be conducted, ensuring 100 percent provision of housing, electricity, water, roads, education, health, and livelihood facilities. Health-focused services include vaccinations, safe deliveries, Ayushman card benefits, clean drinking water, and support for children and pregnant women through Anganwadi centers. The campaign also addresses forest rights lease, ration distribution, and livelihood opportunities.
Manjunath Bhajantri directed Prachar Rath operators to reach remote areas and disseminate information widely. The campaign’s goal is to reach PVTG settlements in remote hilly and forest areas, creating awareness about PM Janman Yojana among tribal communities.
