Jamshedpur DC directs removal of illegal hoardings

Jamshedpur, Mar 19: East Singhbhum deputy commissioner Suraj Kumar on Friday reviewed the projects and drawing plans of the civic bodies in the district and also reviewed the cleanliness drive and revenue collected from the parking spot demarcated by the local civic bodies. 

The DC asked the civic body officials to identify the illegal hoardings and ensure that they are removed at the earliest and also directed that encroachment of government land  and roads should be stopped and asked the officials to prepare a list of such encroachers. 


The civic officials were also asked to remove hoardings of shops put up alongside roads  and ensure compliance that no DJ is played  in large volume after 10 pm in the city and the violating DJ operators should be fined as per law. 


He also advised for beautification of the roundabouts with symbolic structures showcasing the imprint of the city and the civic bodies. The civic bodies were asked to auction all the condemned vehicles and suggested for opening of libraries in community halls. He also asked those bank officials which have high number of pending applications for DAY-NULM and PMSwanidhi Yojana to ensure that all eligible beneficiaries application are cleared by March 25. 


The civic officials were also asked to ensure that stringent checking on use of masks is carried out regularly in their area.
