Jamshedpur DC directs 100 percent booster dose for healthcare workers 

Jamshedpur, August 6: East Singhbhum deputy commissioner Vijaya Jadhav chaired monthly review meeting of district health committee and directed for 100 percent achievement target for booster dose of vaccines of healthcare workers in the district. 

The meeting was informed that only 49 percent of frontline workers and 65 percent of health care workers had taken booster dose. The deputy commissioner also directed for making an action plan for senior citizens in getting booster dose. 

It was informed that only 28 percent achievement was achieved by senior citizens in taking booster dose. They were directed to run a comprehensive awareness campaign and take cooperation from the Panchayat representatives. Through awareness campaign through PDS dealers, public servants and other personnel working at the ground panchayat and village level, it was said to bring requisite progress. 

The district’s achievement in  institutional delivery was found to be 87 percent, all the medical officer in charge were directed by the Deputy Commissioner to ensure that all pregnant women get institutional deliveries, both in private or government hospitals. The meeting also reviewed immunization, family planning, treatment of malnourished children etc.

A day salary of BPM and BAM of seven blocks were deducted for performing poorly and district program officer was also showcased.
