Jamshedpur DC and SSP thank one and all for peaceful Durga Puja

Jamshedpur, Oct 7: East Singhbhum district administration heaved a sigh of relief on the peaceful completion of Durga Puja celebrations. Deputy Commissioner Vijaya Jadhav and Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Prabhat Kumar thanked all stakeholders for extending their cooperation to the district administration in keeping peace during the festival. They said the credit for peaceful puja celebration goes to all citizens, puja organizers, administrative officials and police personel, paramilitary forces, Civil Defence, Tata Steel UISL and other organizations and individuals whose services were availed during the festival.

The DC and SSP thanked all puja committee members for peaceful immersion of idols. They kept a close eye on the immersion procession at various ghats of the district. Other senior administration officials who monitored the Puja celebration and procession included SDO Dhalbhum Sandeep Kumar Meena, SP City K Vijay Shankar, SP Rural Mukesh Lunayat, ADM Law and Order Nand Kishore Lal, ADC Sourabh Sinha, DTO Dinesh Ranjan and Special Officer of JNAC Sanjay Kumar.

The DC said the district administration had appealed to all puja committees to ensure timely immersion of idols. She said the timely immersion of idols was the result of team work.

The SSP said no untoward incident was reported during Durga Puja immersion procession anywhere in the district.

District administration had made elaborate safety arrangements at immersion venues. Divers and ambulances were kept at river ghats to deal with exigencies.
