Jamshedpur: East Singhbhum district administration heaved a sigh of relief after the successful completion of Ramnavami processions in the city.
Deputy Commissioner Vijaya Jadhav congratulated all citizens for the peaceful conduct of the procession yesterday. She praised the entire district administration machinery for its effective handling of law and order and traffic management during the Ramnavami procession. She said all officials of the civil and police departments had played a pivotal role in keeping peace at all sensitive places across the city. She said all stakeholders deserved praise for their cooperation throughout the festivity.
The DC, accompanied by the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) M Tamil Vanan closely monitored the movement of immersion processions taken by various Ramnavami Akhara committees at the Composite Control Room. Instructions were promptly issued to district police officials and duty magistrates to ensure smooth and peaceful conduct of the procession.
The DC also thanked all peace committee members, Tata Steel UISL, paramilitary forces and media-persons for their help and support.
Yesterday’s Ramnavami processions were largely peaceful.
