Jamshedpur, Sep 21: A CRPF jawan Nand Kumar Choudhary (50), a resident of Hirkhi Pipda in Bhojpur district of Bihar, died of a heart attack while running for training in Musabani near Jamshedpur on Tuesday.
Chaudhary was posted in CRPF 11 Battalion Latehar. He had come to take training at the Zonal Training Center of CRPF at Musabani on anti-Naxal departmental training of about one and a half months.
The last race of training on Tuesday was 20 km. In the morning hundreds of jawans had left for running on the main road from Musabani Recreation Club to Kendadih. In this sequence, Jawan Nand Kumar Chaudhary fell down near the petrol pump in Purnapani of Teranga Panchayat of Jadugoda police station area. Fellow soldiers picked him up and took him to the Community Health Center Kendadih where doctors declared him brought dead.
His family members have also been informed about his death. The police have taken the body in their possession for post-mortem. Pranab Anand Jha, Deputy Commandant of CRPF 11 Battalion, took information about the incident from the officials of Zonal Training Center Musabani.
