Jamshedpur: Criminals use spray to loot ornaments in Mango

Jamshedpur, March 5: A gang of criminals stole away gold ornaments from a house in Anand Vihar Colony at Mango on Saturday. It sprayed a chemical on the house lady to make her unconscious before making away with her ornaments, sources said.

Sources said two unidentified youths knocked at the door of the victim, Anjana Rao, in the morning and offered to cleanse her gold and silver ornaments. No sooner did Anjana give her gold chain, locket and ring to the culprits, one of them sprayed a chemical on her face, making her unconscious for few minutes. After taking the ornaments, the culprits handed the woman a packet, telling her they had kept her ornaments in it. After some time, Anjana gained full conscious only to realize she had been duped by the youths. When she opened the packet, she found rice and colours inside. She soon informed her husband Vishal Rao who informed police about the incident.
