Jamshedpur, May 22: Parents of a 29-year-old Puja Singh, who was staying in her in-laws family in Harharguttu under Bagbera and died during course of treatment at Tata Main Hospital on Friday night, have accused the in-laws of murder for dowry.
Mother of the deceased woman, Ranjana Devi has accused the in laws of torturing her daughter for dowry and the in-laws forcing her daughter to drink poison on May 3 and admitted at the hospital when her situation was critical.
She also said that her daughter had phoned her aunty and apprehended that she would be killed for dowry and when her aunty reached her house in Harharguttu on May 3 she founder her lying in the bathroom and she brought her to hospital. When she got better she was taken to home by her in-laws on May 11 and when her condition again deteriorated on May 13 she was readmitted at TMH. She had been married in July 2019 to Subodh Singh.
She had accused husband Subodh Singh, father in law Jagannath Singh and elder brother in law Pramod Singh of torturing her daughter for dowry.
