Jamshedpur Crime: Sexually abused, divorced on lover’s directive and denial to marry, hapless woman continues to knock on doors of justice

Jamshedpur, June 27:  Radheshyam Ram, a gangman posted in Tatanagar railway, has been accused of physical relationship with a woman on the pretext of marriage, then asking her to seek divorce from her husband Dinesh Yadav, a resident of Adityapur whom she had married in 2003 and had two sons out of that wedlock. Radheshyam continued to have sexual relation with the woman and when she asked him to marry her, he denied.

The hapless woman, identified as Radhika Ram has, since then, been knocking at the RIT (Adityapur) police station for a month without getting any response, she approached senior RJD leader Arjun Prasad Yadav who took up cudgels for her justice. Yadav, on his part, has met senior officials in a bid to ensure justice to Radhika Ram.

Incidentally, Radhika was a colleague of Radheshyam Ram who is a resident of Bagbera Railway Colony.

According to reports, after entering into a physical relationship with Radhika Ram on the pretext of marrying her after she took a divorce from her husband, Dinesh Yadav whom she married in 2003 and had two boys. After getting divorced, she asked Radheshyam to marry her which he refused and threatened to kill her and her children. Frightened, she pleaded for justice by referring the matter to the RIT PS SHO. According to Radhika was forced to do the rounds of the RIT police station for a month on the assurance of the SHO that Radheshyam Ram would be arrested. Attempts by the police to contact Radheshyam over phone reportedly turned an exercise in futility. However, when contacted, the SHO, Md Tanzil informed that both parties had been summoned to the RIT police station but so far, Radheshyam could not be contacted telephonically till the time of this report.
