Jamshedpur, June 1: A young girl was throttled to death by her lover for refusing to go to village in Girja Tola area in Sarjamda under Parsudih thana.
The accused lover Rupai Baskey confessed before police that he used to love Radhi Tuddu and wanted to marry her and had brought her home at Sopodera on May 22 and wanted her to go with him to native village in Odisha but she refused to go to Odisha. This led to heated altercation on May 26 night during which Rupai throttled her to death.
After the incident, he became afraid and told Radhi’s family member that she had died of hanging on her own. But on the basis of compliant of deceased’s father Sadhu Tuddu a case was lodged against Rupai at Parsudih thana and after two-days of interrogation he confessed of his crime and was sent to judicial custody.
Radhi Tuddu was a resident of Gamharia in Seraikela-Kharsawan and used to work with Rupai and had taken divorce from her husband and has a three year old son.
