Jamshedpur, June 29: Jugsalai police detained a 16 year-old boy for allegedly stealing jewelry from a house in Garib Nawaz Colony on Wednesday.
Cops said the jewelry was recovered on the basis of information furnished by the minor during investigation. The minor had reportedly stolen the jewelry from the house of one Sabina Bano, they added.
According to Tarun Kumar, officer in-charge, Jugsalai police station, Sabina Bano had complained about theft of jewelry worth Rs 9 lakh from her house. He said the accused had been sent to Observation Home.
