Jamshedpur, Oct 19: Chhabbo, accused in Ranjeet Singh murder case of Telco, surrendered before SSP Prabhat Kumar following pressure by police.
Sources said police teams were searching for the accused since the day Ranjeet Singh was shot dead near Sabuj Kalyan Sangh, Telco. Earlier, police had arrested Rahul Gupta alias Sholay, Anil and Rishi Kumar in this case.
During interrogation, Chhabbo reportedly told cops he was insulted and harassed by Ranjeet Singh when the two were in jail. Chhabbo said he murdered Ranjeet to take revenge, said the SSP.
The SSP said police had recovered a country-made gun, two mobile phones and a bike from the possession of the accused.
