Jamshedpur, May 24: Unidentified thieves took away cash and jewelry worth several lakh from the house of one Sanjay Sharma in Shyam Nagar, Road No 1, Sankosai, under Olidih police station area late Monday night.
Sharma was away from his house for his daughter’s wedding when the thieves entered his house by picking the locks on the main gate. The culprits returned home in the wee hours today and found the locks at the main gate broken. Entering inside, he found the cash and jewelry missing. Soon thereafter he informed police about the incident and lodged a complaint.
Sharma said he had gone to hi svillage on 8th May last. His family returned home in the early hours and found the house in mess.
Police reached the house and began investigation into the incident. They said they are looking for CCTV cameras to get lead on the culprits.
