Daily infections rise again after 5 days in Jamshedpur
Jamshedpur, May 13: After seeing decline in Covid cases for fifth consecutive day, Jamshedpur on Friday reported rise in daily infections.
A day after 579 positive cases were reported, Jamshedpur recorded 957 positive cases while 968 people recovered of the virus on Friday.
Deaths due to the virus continue to be sign of worry as 7 people succumbed due to Covid on Friday, May 14, East Singhbhum Covid bulletin said.
During this period, a total of 5951 Covid
tests were conducted in Jamshedpur.
City reported 7 deaths on Friday while district’s positive cases tally has mounted to 45959. According to the data provided by the East Singhbhum district health department on Friday 7 fatalities were due to the Covid-19 infection in the last 24 hours. The death toll has climbed to 901. The total active cases have come down to are 5367.
East Singhbhum district administration has conducted 312323 test per million in the district.Sidhgora and Kadma locality of Steel City continues to be a Covid hotspot.
As per the records of health department out of 5951 people who underwent Covid tests in East Singhbhum 957 were found positive.
As many as 39691 people have recovered from COVID-19 so far with 968 recoveries recorded in the last 24-hours. Over 5500 COVID-19 tests, including 2630 RT-PCR and 2918 RAT were conducted in the last 24 hours in the city.
The recovery rate in Jamshedpur is 88.20% while the mortality rate is 1.96%.
So far in Jamshedpur 839480 amples have been collected out of which 831405 have been tested and 785446 have turned out to be negative.
