Jamshedpur, May 29: Jamshedpur on Saturday reported 101Â Covid-19 infections while 245 people recovered of the virus while it also registered 3 coronavirus-related deaths.Â
Earlier on Thursday city recorded lowest daily Covid case total in two months with 67 fresh infections.
The overall death toll in the East Singhbhum has reached 1012 and the total cases 49752.It appears to be early signs that the more dangerous Covid wave is receding from the city. The Steel City’s case positivity rate has also dropped to 1.79 percent.
The positivity rate of Covid-19 cases in Jamshedpur is around 1.79 per cent after East Singhbhum conducted over 5500 tests in the last 24 hours. The Steel City tested 5650 samples, of which, 101 turned out positive while 245 people recovered from the Covid-19 on Saturday, May 29.
Meanwhile, 3 deaths were recorded in the same duration. The continuous high number of tests have pushed the positivity rate further down to 1.79 per cent, the government data showed.
The recovery rate has climbed to 94.85% while the active cases have come down to 1637.
245 positive people recovered of the virus on Friday pushing the recovery mark to 47103.
Deaths due to the virus continue to be sign of worry as 3 people succumbed due to Covid on Saturday, May 29, East Singhbhum Covid bulletin said.
City reported 3 deaths on Saturday while district’s positive cases tally has mounted to 49752. According to the data provided by the East Singhbhum district health department on Saturday 3 fatalities were due to the Covid-19 infection in the last 24 hours. The death toll has climbed to 1012.
East Singhbhum district administration has conducted 342668 test per million in the district.
As per the records of health department out of 5650 people who underwent Covid tests in East Singhbhum 101 were found positive.
Over 5500 COVID-19 tests, including 966 RT-PCR and 4357 RAT were conducted in the last 24 hours in the city.
The recovery rate in Jamshedpur is 94.85% while the mortality rate is 2.03%.
So far in Jamshedpur 913623 samples have been collected out of which 912182 have been tested and 862430 have turned out to be negative.
