Jamshedpur, April 11: The East Singhbhum District Congress Committee convened a meeting under the banner of ‘District Level Organization Creation-2025’ at the Tilak Library, Bistupur, chaired by District President Anand Bihari Dubey. The session focused on implementing resolutions passed at the AICC meeting held at Indira Gandhi Auditorium, New Delhi, in the presence of national leaders including Mallikarjun Kharge, Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, and KC Venugopal, and during the 84th Maha Adhiveshan in Ahmedabad.
District President Anand Bihari Dubey briefed the District Officers, Block Presidents, Mandal Presidents, and State-appointed Block Observers on key directives from the AICC.
He emphasized, “Absenteeism in organizational meetings will not be tolerated. Inactive officers will be replaced immediately with active and capable members.”

He further highlighted that the central leadership had empowered District Presidents to not only maintain discipline but also to recommend candidates for upcoming Vidhan Sabha elections. Block and Mandal Presidents would play a pivotal role in candidate selection, signifying greater decentralization of authority.
Dubey directed grassroots leaders to proactively engage with public issues and to Identify local problems, submit mass petitions to departments and organize agitations until issues were resolved.
He instructed that Ward Committees be promptly formed for the upcoming municipal elections in Chakulia Nagar Panchayat (12 wards), Mango Municipal Corporation (36 wards) and Jugsalai Nagar Parishad (22 wards).
The District Congress stressed the need for revitalizing the party structure that included committees must consist only of active, working members, non-performing office bearers were to be removed and supervisors, appointed for a 3-month term, would regularly monitor progress in each block.
Block Presidents from across the district attended, including Ashish Thakur (Jamshedpur Rural), Babua Jha (Kadma-Sonari), Bimal Barik (Baharagora), Satdal Giri (Dhalbhumgarh), Saurabh Chatterjee (Potka), Dharma Rao (Sakchi), Atul Gupta (Golmuri), Rajesh Kumar (Telco), Kaiser Alam Ansari (Jugsalai) and Sanjay Sah (Musabani) along with representatives from Gudabanda and Bodam blocks.
State-appointed Block Observers such as Rakesh Kumar Tiwari, Mahendra Mishra, Brajendra Tiwari, Prince Singh, and others also shared their action plans, stressing the need for grassroots outreach and public mobilization.
Executive President Dharmendra Sonkar called for collective efforts to strengthen the Congress organization and to remain active on people’s issues.
The meeting concluded with a message of unity and discipline, as District Vice President Sanjay Singh Azad conducted the proceedings, ensuring that all organizational layers were energized ahead of the upcoming local and assembly elections.
