Jamshedpur, June 24: City�s veteran Congress leader and transporter Avtar Singh Tari died of cardiac arrest at 6 am on Wednesday. Tari had a massive heart attack on Tuesday evening, the family members rushed him to TMH (Tata Main Hospital) where the doctors started treating him. However, his health condition deteriorated and he died.
Tari played a key role in strengthening Congress Party in Kolhan. He was a close friend of former Congress State President Dr Pradeep Kumar Balmuchu. Tari�s son Ravinder Singh Saini informed that his funeral was taken out from his residence at CH Area to Swarnarekha Burning Ghat at around 12:30 noon. On receiving information about Tari’s death, District Congress president Vijay Khan, former district president Ravindra Kumar Jha, former NSUI state president Parvinder Singh and others reached his residence and expressed their grief.
