Jamshedpur, August 31: The Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC) and Tata Steel UISL (formerly Jusco) jointly organized a special cleanliness awareness campaign in the Sakchi market, Tina Shed, and Sabzi Bazar areas. The campaign aimed to educate the public on the importance of not spitting in public places and avoiding littering.

Social worker Pappu Sardar, known for his admiration of Bollywood star Madhuri Dixit, participated in the campaign in his unique and engaging manner. Alongside JNAC and Tata Steel UISL officials, Pappu Sardar toured the Sakchi market area, emphasizing the significance of maintaining cleanliness. He highlighted that spitting not only dirtied public spaces but also increased the risk of diseases. Additionally, littering tarnished the market’s image, potentially impacting business negatively.

Shopkeepers were encouraged to educate their customers about cleanliness and ensure the area in front of their shops remained clean. Pappu Sardar stressed that collective efforts could transform Sakchi market into a clean and attractive space.

The campaign received strong support from market shopkeepers, customers, and local residents, who appreciated it as a positive initiative. It was hoped that such efforts would enhance cleanliness awareness among the public and inspire similar campaigns in other parts of Jamshedpur.
