Jamshedpur City SP�s roadmap for students on social responsibility

Jamshedpur, July 22: A workshop for students on social responsibility was organized jointly by the Azadnagar police station and the peace committee at Vivekanand International School on Old Purulia Road. City SP Subhash Chandra Jat was the chief guest on the occasion while DSP Vijay Kumar Mahto was the guest of honour.

The welcome address was given by School Principal Dr Nidhi Srivastav. Students who had performed outstandingly in the Board Examinations in 2019 were presented medal and certificates. Later the guests participated in planting saplings in the school compound to send out a message on environmental care.

The workshop was organized to make the students aware of the various crimes the youth community was resorting to and the various ways to stay away from such scenarios.

Chief guest, City SP Subhash Chandra Jat in his address to the students and their parent pointed out how the youth segment was falling prey to drug addiction, cyber crimes, driving two wheelers without license and helmet and he provided ample examples. He always provided a blueprint on how to stay away from these hazardous routes and develop leadership traits to become socially responsible people. The City SP also asked the parents present to behave more like friends with their children and try to understand their mental status.

Guest of honour and DSP Vijay Kumar Mahto also provided many helpful tips to make the students aware of their social responsibilities. Azadnagar PS OC Vishnu Prasad Raut asked all present to cooperate with the police and seek their assistance in preventing such crimes. He too provided important tips to avoid the prevailing social ills now prevalent among the youth.

The vote of thanks was offered by peace committee secretary Mukhtar Alam Khan. The workshop conducted at the Vivekanand International School was attended by Haji Nawab, Razi Naushad, Md Siddique, Jamil Asgar, Md Feroze, Sardar Jaswant Singh, Aftab Alam, Apurva Paul, the school�s teachers, students and parents and social workers.
