Jamshedpur, April 6: Jamshedpur citizens had to suffer sweltering conditions on Thursday with the mercury hitting the highest in the state at 37.8 (38) degrees Celsius this season.

The maximum temperature recorded in other parts of the state were 32.8 degrees Celsius in Ranchi, 36.1 in Bokaro, 36.8 in Chaibasa and 34 degree Celsius in Giridih. Weather forecast for the next five days will remain dry from 6 to 10 April.

There may be a possibility of light to moderate rainfall in southern, western and adjoining central parts on April 9 with cloudy conditions in the second half. Temperatures are expected to rise after April 10.
