Jagarnath Mahto’s commitment to scale up education: Pro Chancellor Srinath University

Jamshedpur, April 6: “Jagarnath Mahto had made out a blueprint to scale up education in the state by fanning out to the remotest village and make the ‘Right to Education’ norm a reality. He had committed himself to ensure that education was made accessible to all. His determination was falling in place as more youth were going in for higher studies in various professional courses. Jagarnath Mahto had a dream to push education to the highest rung and eradicate illiteracy. His dedication and drive towards the uplift of allround education had steadily gained grounds before is unexpected and sad demise,” observed Srinath University Pro Chancellor, Gurudev Mahto during a meeting organized to condole the demise of Jharkhand Education Minister, Jagarnath Mahto today. The administrative committee, faculty, staff and students of Srinath University and Srinath College of Education observed a two minute silence for the peace of the departed soul. Vice-Chancellor Dr Govind Mahato said, “The entire State is shocked by the sudden and unexpected passing away of our Education Minister Jagannath Mahato. In his death, Jharkhand has lost a popular leader and very able Minister today.”
