Jamshedpur, Oct 16: A. K. Srivastava, Chairman of the Jamshedpur Citizens Forum, extended heartfelt congratulations to Noel Tata on his appointment as Chairman of Tata Trust. In a letter addressed to Noel Tata, Srivastava expressed confidence in Tata’s leadership, hoping that the goals set by the previous chairman, Ratan Tata, will be achieved successfully.
Recalling a meeting with Noel Tata on March 3, 2023 at Tata Works Main Gate, introduced by T.V. Narendran, CEO of Tata Steel, Srivastava requested the establishment of facilities for issuing boarding passes and transporting luggage and passengers from Sonari Airport to Ranchi Airport. This initiative aims to enhance connectivity for Jamshedpur residents traveling to major cities like Bombay and Delhi.
In his letter, Srivastava emphasized that with improved air connectivity, Jamshedpur residents could reach these destinations within a day. He also noted that he had previously communicated this request to the Prime Minister of India and enclosed a response from Narendran. Srivastava expressed hope that Tata would recognize the importance of this service for the people of Jamshedpur, reinforcing the legacy of J.R.D. Tata and Ratan Tata’s commitment to aviation.
