Jamshedpur: CII Young Indians Triumph in Masoom Cup

Jamshedpur: In a thrilling encounter at Chepak Stadium, Chennai, the CII Young Indians National XI emerged victorious over the formidable IPL champions, Chennai Super Kings (CSK), securing an impressive eight-wicket win in the 10 overs limited overs cricket match.

Mukesh Gilada’s stellar performance earned him the title of Player of the Match, contributing significantly to the success of the Young Indians team. Gilada, along with Rishabh Khaitan, showcased outstanding batting skills, each scoring 45 runs, leading their team to chase down the target of 114 runs set by Chennai XI.

This significant clash was part of the YI ‘Masoom Cup 2023,’ a collaborative initiative between Young Indians and Chennai Super Kings. The match aimed to raise awareness about the critical issue of child sexual abuse. The Play for Cause game underscored the commitment of both teams to address physical and digital sexual harassment while supporting the Masoom vertical’s mission to protect children from various forms of abuse.

Notably, Harshil Dokania, a proud member of YI Jamshedpur, earned a spot in the Young Indians team. Selected from a pool of members spanning 65 chapters of Young Indians, Harshil played a crucial role in the team’s success against CSK in the Masoom Cup exhibition league match.
