Jamshedpur CII YI: Helping hand to State blind women’s cricket team

Jamshedpur, Jan 6: CII Young Indians (YI), has come in support of Jharkhand’s blind women’s cricket team. The team that will participate in the National Cricket Tournament to be held in Bangalore from January 9. The team left for their destination today.  

Teams from 16 states are participating in the tournament, which are divided into four groups. According to the information, Karnataka, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and West Bengal have been included in the first group. Odisha, Jharkhand, Rajasthan and Haryana have been included in the second group. Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Chandigarh and Telangana have been included in the third group. Delhi, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Assam are in the fourth group. However, the Jharkhand team for the national tournament includes Nidhi Kumari (Ranchi), Alan Lakra (Gumla), Preeti Lakra (Gumla), Rashmi Kumari (Bokro), Renu Kumar (Daltenganj), Marsa Hassa (Khunti), Asha Kumari (Ranchi). , Mamta Kumari (Dumka), Akanksha Priya (Ranchi), Geeta Mahato (Ranchi), Pooja Kumari (Dumka), Prabha Kumari (Dumka), Roshni Kumari (Ranchi), Alodia Jojo (West Singhbhum), Ritma Bodra (West Singhbhum) , Vimla Sandil (West Singhbhum), Neha Poddar (East Singhbhum), Sunita Kumari (Ranchi), Simran Kumari (Ranchi), Kavita Sarkar (Dhanbad), Shubham Kumar (East Singhbhum) (Coach), Nisit Behera, Ranchi (Assistant Coach) ) Are included

Jharkhand team’s first match will be against Rajasthan on January 9 (1 PM), Odisha on January 10 (9 AM), Haryana on January 11 (9 AM). After this, the semi-finals will be played on 12 January and the final match will be played on 13 January. It may be known that in the recently held third blind T20 World Cup final match, India defeated Bangladesh by 120 runs. With this victory, India won the T20 World Cup for the third time.

The Jharkhand team also played an exhibition match with the children of Loyola School, Telco at the school ground. The children of the school even blindfolded themselves to play with the blind team. During this, ordinary school children also came to know about the techniques and skills of blind people, with the help of which they play cricket and other sports. The rest of the school children were on the ground to watch the match and were enjoying themselves.
