Jamshedpur, Dec 22: Christmas was celebrated with great zeal and enthusiasm by the pre–primary and primary segment at Kerala Public School (KPS), Kadma on Thursday.

Students of Junior School ushered in the spirit of Christmas through a special morning assembly. Programme began with a medley of Christmas Carols, followed by songs, dances and speech.

Students were very happy to celebrate Christmas at school with their friends and teachers. The whole campus was adorned with Christmas decorations- the Christmas tree, Santa Claus and folks dressed in red added to the merry spirit of Christmas.

Highlight of the programme was an enactment, “The Blind to see” which says that there is something worse than physical blindness and that is spiritual blindness. The spirit of giving and sharing was inculcated among the tiny tots. The elements of energy and momentum could be witnessed in the children as they came forward and showcased their talents. The boundless joy of celebrating the festival was amply visible on the faces of the children especially when Santa moved around distributing sweets to them.

School Director Sharat Chandran, Academic Director Lakshmi Sharat, Principal Sharmila Mukherjee, Head Mistress Alamelu Ravishankar, coordinators, teachers and students were present on this occasion.
