Jamshedpur: Over 4,000 candidates who appeared for the written examination for Chowkidar recruitment in East Singhbhum have raised serious concerns over the fairness of the test. They have submitted a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner, demanding the cancellation of the exam and a fresh attempt.

The candidates claim that there were significant errors in the examination, held on December 22, including questions with multiple correct answers and others where no correct option was provided. The candidates also highlighted discrepancies in the cut-off, further fuelling their dissatisfaction with the process.

The written exam was conducted at 13 centers across Jamshedpur district, with 4,473 candidates participating. A total of 305 Chowkidars are to be appointed in this recruitment. In their memorandum, the candidates requested that the physical test be postponed and that the written exam be cancelled, urging for a new paper to be prepared to ensure fairness.
