Jamshedpur: ‘Chintan Shivir’ for formulating block development strategy 

Jamshedpur: Following directives of District Magistrate-cum-Deputy Commissioner, Manjunath Bhajantri, a district-level ‘Chintan Shivir’ was convened to formulate a block development strategy for the aspirational block of Musabani, as part of the NITI Aayog’s Aspirational Block Program. The event was chaired by Deputy Development Commissioner,  Manish Kumar, and inaugurated by various dignitaries including Sub-Divisional Officer Dhalbhum, Piyush Sinha, Civil Surgeon Dr. Jujhar Majhi, Director NEP Jyotsna Singh, and several other officials.

Musabani block has been identified as one of the aspirational blocks by NITI Aayog, Government of India, and this contemplation camp aimed to kickstart the strategic planning process. Deputy Development Commissioner stressed the need for optimizing the available resources in Musabani block and focusing on holistic development. The discussions revolved around various development indicators such as health, nutrition, education, agriculture, infrastructure, drinking water, sanitation, financial inclusion, and social development, as stipulated by NITI Aayog.

During the ‘Chintan Shivir,’ comprehensive data was presented to the officials regarding Musabani block’s geographical area and the ongoing initiatives of departments dealing with health, education, infrastructure, and more. The emphasis was on improving these indicators while prioritizing the involvement of the local community. The roles and responsibilities of different departments were thoroughly examined and discussed.

The event was attended by various departmental officers and representatives, including District Social Welfare Officer Sandhya Rani, District Fisheries Officer Alka Panna, Assistant Director Social Security Neha Sanjana Khalkho, District Education Superintendent Nishu Kumari, JSLPS, and other key stakeholders. This collaborative effort aims to pave the way for a comprehensive and inclusive development strategy for Musabani block in East Singhbhum district, Jharkhand.
