Jamshedpur, Feb 16: In a harrowing incident near the railway halt of Govindpur police station area, authorities discovered an unconscious minor from Jhargram, West Bengal. The child was promptly taken to the hospital for medical attention. Upon regaining consciousness, the young victim revealed a distressing truth that he had been subjected to unnatural sexual assault by his own uncle.
The police swiftly informed the family, leading to an official case being registered at Govindpur police station. A thorough investigation ensued, culminating in a raid in Jhargram, West Bengal, where the accused was apprehended. Nineteen-year-old Firoz Khan, a resident of the minor’s village, now faces serious charges.
According to the minor’s account, the tragic events unfolded when Sandhya, under the guise of offering crisps, lured the child away from the village. They boarded a local train, eventually arriving near the Govindpur station halt late at night. There, the unthinkable occurred: the minor was subjected to unnatural acts, resulting in injury and unconsciousness. Abandoning the child in this vulnerable state, the accused fled to Govindpur market, spending the night on a footpath. By morning, he had escaped back to Jhargram via another local train.
The accused, who is related to the victim as an uncle, has been taken into custody. Following a medical examination at MGM Hospital, he now awaits judicial proceedings.
